Erie Alco S1 307 at Lowe Park, approximately 52nd Street and Normal Avenue in Chicago, Illinois on April 11, 1965, photo by Chuck Zeiler. The S1 was built as Erie 307 in October 1946 (c/n 74962), classed SA-6 on the EL, and became BEDT 25 in 1968. Number 505 was built in December 1946 as Erie Alco S2 505, classed as SA-10 on the E-L.

Erie S1 309 at Pullman Junction on the south side of Chicago, Illinois on April 20, 1965, photo by Chuck Zeiler. The S1 was built as Erie 309 (c/n 75119) in December 1946, and was purchsed in 1968 by Falconbridge Nickel Mines, Falconbridge, Ontario, Canada. Also seen is Alco S2 505 in EL paint, built in December 1946 (c/n 73892).
