Description:
Built by Baldwin in October of 1905 as ATSF compound 2-10-2 #1628, the loco was simplified at the San Bernardino Shops in February of 1917. After nearly 48 years of service, the loco was sold for scrap to the Purdy Company on May 12,1953. Rebuilt specs - oil burner, 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 28x32" cylinders, engine wt of 317,400 lb, tractive force of 74,800 lb. Arthur B. Johnson photo
